Notable
Began career in Street Stock division and steadily climbed through ranks to become one of the Northeast's biggest DIRT Modified stars. Won Mr. DIRT 358-Modified championship in 1993 and 2003 and captured the coveted Mr. DIRT Modified (big-block) points crown in 2005. Registered the richest victory of his career in 2004, pocketing over $60,000 for winning the prestigious Eckerd 200 DIRT Modified classis at the one-mile New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, N.Y. Owns over 100 DIRT-sanctioned feature wins in big-block and 358-Modified competition. In 2005, accepted offer from Gypsum Express team owner John Wight to enter selected dirt Late Model events as a teammate to Billy Decker, who was the best man at Fuller's wedding. Fuller plans to continue racing his own DIRT Modified in Advance Auto Parts Super DIRT Series action in 2007, but will increase his participation in WoO LMS events with the Gypsum team. He will be seeking the WoO LMS Rookie of the Year award as well as his first-ever dirt Late Model victory in '07.
2009 was a break-out year for Tim Fuller on the World of Outlaws Late Model series. Fuller ripped off 9 wins on the year ( 7 WoO 2 Non-Sanctioned Wins), his best to date. To make his run more remarkable Fuller ran off four straight wins, tying a series record at one point during the season.
Fuller didn’t do it all on his own as he spent many hours on the road traveling up and down the east coast with his crew chief Mike “Smoke” Countryman turning the wrenches. Countryman’s talent earned him the Integra Shocks Crew Chief Of The Year honors at the series banquet last November.
What makes Fuller’s wins and 4th place finish in the point standings behind the wheel of the Gypsum Express No.19 even more special to the team is the time Fuller has behind the wheel of a Late Model. While running against drivers with a lot more experience racing and traveling, Fuller was able to pull off the year he had in just his 3rd full year in the full fender cars.
World Of Outlaws Late Model Series PR Director Kevin Kovac had this to say about Fuller last November, “Both were new to the division when they embarked on the WoO LMS in 2007 -- and, in three short years, Fuller has gone from the tour's Rookie of the Year to a bona fide championship threat.”
Look for the Gypsum Express No.19 Rocket Chassis to improve on their 2009 season as they shoot for the Series title in 2010.
